MOTIVATION
After studying product design and circular economy, my motivation to contribute towards a more sustainable and circular future is only growing.
Even though the challenges of our time can be daunting at times, I prefer to see them as opportunities to innovate new, more sustainable solutions.
It’s no secret that sustainability and circularity are highly complex fields, and they can only be tackled if everyone pulls together, contributing with their skills and knowledge.
I look forward to hearing from you!
PRODUCT DESIGN
Every design process is an iterative journey, shaped in co-creation with the customer – from the very first idea to the final result.
It is a careful interplay of listening and understanding, combining knowledge and experience, and weaving them together with creativity to turn ideas into a vision.
FROM LINEAR TO CIRCULAR
The challenges of our time call for optimizing and redesigning products and systems to foster a more sustainable relationship between us and our environment.
Since early design choices have a big influence on a product’s impact, they provide a unique opportunity to drive innovation in this direction—step by step.
ABOUT
After my initial training as an aircraft mechanic and turning photography into a side profession, I studied Industrial Design at Zurich University of the Arts. During my studies, I discovered my interest in sustainable and thoughtful solutions on a product or system level. To further deepen my knowledge in this field, I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Circular Economy Management. My goal is to actively contribute to projects with a positive impact on people and our environment.
In short:
INSIGHTS
Demonstrator, work
To reveal an invisible innovation to potential customers several aspects like user experience, manufacturing feasibility and the integration of mechanical, thermal and electrical components had to be balanced simultaneously.
[in progress]
Concept coffee machine, ZHAW
Optimized for easier disassembly and adapted material choice for better recyclability and lower CO₂ impact compared to the status quo.
Design process in Blender after studying one of the most popular capsule coffee machines on the market.
SWAP, ZHdK
The focus of this project was to increase the repairability and upgradeability of a drone. This approach extends the lifespan of the product and the range of applications.
Highspeed Train Concept, work
Exterior and interior design for a next generation highspeed train. Co-creation together with the customer.
Front modelled in Blender, simulation made with OPENFoam.
NECO, ZHdK & ETH
The neck collar NECO allows for easier application and adjustments while keeping the patient’s head still.
Personal projects
During my free time I design and build my own products. I often start with the raw material to experience the whole design- and manufacturing process.
designing with Blender:
Blender represents the perfect tool not only for creating renderings and animations but also shines as a very agile design-tool for geometry, light and materials.
